In this article I'll be giving you an honest review on Systeme.io
Let's get into it.π§
What is Systeme.io?
Systeme.io is an all-in-one marketing platform that has all the tools you need to create, launch and manage an online business for free.
This platform was created by Aurelian Amacker, (a French internet marketer) who got tired of having to connect all separate tools together to run his online business.
Knowing the frustration and confusion of many entrepreneurs having to deal with this headache, he decided to create an all-in-one marketing platform that focuses on the tools you need the most while keeping it as simple and as affordable as it could be.
Is Systeme.io Free?
- Yes, Systeme.io is free forever until you decide to upgrade, or if you exceed the free plan's limitations.
For example: The free plan allows you to collect 2,000 contacts but if you get close to or go above that, you'll be notified to upgrade your plan in order to keep collecting more emails.
The upgrade can also be triggered automatically when you exceed the limits of these features ONLY if you have a card on file.

We'll go through each of the tabs on top one by one. (Each tab has a drop down menu)
Upgrade - Here you can upgrade your plan, but if you're just starting out, the free plan will be more than enough for a while.
Dashboard
Main Dashboard - Has a clean look. You can see the leads you've collected for your business and filter through the dates.
Affiliate Dashboard - If you become an affiliate for Systeme.io, here you can see your earnings, paid commissions, your Systeme.io affiliate link and the leads that signed up through you.
Student Dashboard - If you bought any courses through Systeme.io, they'll show up here. Not just Systeme.io courses, but anyone promoting their course through Systeme.io.
Marketplace - Find offers to promote.
CRM - (Customer Relationship Management)
Contacts - You can see the leads you've collected here.
Tags - You can create tags (labels) to categorize your group of contacts. Ex: If a customer buys something from you, you can design a tag to label them as a "Paid Customer" so you know where they stand. You can also automate the tagging process using "automation rules" which we'll look into a little later in this article.
Pipelines - Map out your customer's journey. Essentially, this helps you see at what stage of the journey your customer is in, whether its a "new lead", "made contact with you", "booked the call", "made the deal" etc. You can do this manually or set it to be done automatically through automation rules.
Calendar
Events - Create events, and integrate Zoom to host them or use an external link if you'd like to use a different platform.
Booking - Here you'll see the appointments that you currently have set up with customers.
Availability - Here you can choose your available times for people to book an appointment with you.
Websites
Blogs - Create articles and drive traffic to your blog through SEO.
Sales funnels - These are 2 paged websites that take customers in a linear process from becoming aware of your product to purchasing it. (I love this one, very powerful tool!)
Digital Stores - If you've heard of Stan Store or Linktree, this is very similar to it. You can set up a page with your links to digital downloads, online courses, affiliate links or opt in pages so people can sign up for your newsletters. This is a cool feature because unlike link tree which is just a link aggregator, with digital stores, you can integrate to funnels and email marketing campaigns.
Emails
Newsletters - You can send out emails in real time.
Campaigns - You can set up a series of emails for a specific group of subscribers to inform, promote, make sales etc..
Statistics - View your emails' open rate, click through rate, deliverability rate etc..
Automations
Rules - This is where you get to streamline your business. "If this happens, do that."
Ex: If customer makes purchase, send them this email.
Ex: If customer opens email, subscribe to this campaign.
* With the free plan you have access to ONE automation rule, which sucks because these help fully automate your entire business, but it's free so it's understandable. Just keep this in mind.π€·π»ββοΈ
Workflow - Like an email campaign, you can set up automated email sequences, but workflow is more complex to where you can have multiple campaigns, set delay times before continuing a customer down a path, or even design two separate paths and depending on the customer's actions, the path will be chosen for them.
Assets
Physical Products - You can set up a page to sell a physical product and add size, color (if needed), add your price, tax etc. After customer's pay for your product, it's your responsibility to ship the product to the customer. (You can create shipping services in your Systeme.io settings to help you calculate shipping costs based on shipping carriers, delivery address and product weight).
Coupons - Create discount codes that can be applied at checkout for reduced prices on your products or services.
Courses - Create your own courses or course bundles and see the students info within your courses.
Communities - You can build an online community.
Files - Here you can add files/photos from computer to Systeme.io's platform and access them easily when building your websites.
Sales
Orders - View your customers orders and filter by product type, date, status, etc.
Transactions - View your customer's transactions including refunds.
Subscriptions - Set up payment plans for your digital products or memberships so customers can access your content.
Affiliate Invoices - If you set up your own affiliate program through Systeme.io, this is where you can view your affiliates sales and payments you've made to them.
My Affiliate Program - View your affiliate program dashboard, your affiliates, their sales, their leads and commissions.
Help - Find help pages, video tutorials and get customer support for navigating through Systeme.io's platform.
Notification Bell - Here you'll get all your notifications for any activity that goes on in your Systeme.io account.
Profile Photo - When you click on your profile photo in the top right corner, it'll take you to your settings and you can manage everything from there. (Integrations, payment gateways, subscriptions, etc.)
Pros & Cons of Systeme.io
Pros:
It's a simple and beginner friendly platform
It's FREE and the upgrades are super affordable.
They give you a generous 2,000 contacts to start and even let you connect your custom domain in the free plan.
Combines multiple tools which eliminates the need to pay for & manage multiple subscriptions.
Since tools are all in one platform, they integrate with each other nicely.
Instructions on how to do something on their platform are easy to access and follow. (There's always a question mark in the bottom right corner of your screen, click it, ask and click on the instructions you need)
Customer support has gotten better! Through email they respond in a couple of hours.
It's a drag and drop.
Personally, I haven't tried this feature, but many say that Systeme.io has a really good migration feature.
Cons:
Because this platform focuses on simplicity, the features aren't as sophisticated as a platform that focuses on one main feature.
The footer text in the emails for email marketing is not very aesthetic. (No big deal, I'm just not a fan of the way it looks)
While their customer service through email is good, having a chat feature would be convenient to get help instantly incase we run into any problems. A malfunctioning business = no customers = no money even for a few minutes.π
Because you're hosting everything in one platform, you're putting all your eggs in one basket. If something were to happen to this platform (which I doubt) you could lose it all.
Is Systeme.io Worth it?
If you want simplicity and affordability over fancy, sophisticated and expensive software to run your online business, Systeme.io is worth it.
I used this software for over a year and had a great experience with it. As an affiliate marketer, I mainly used it for the sales funnels, workflow feature and being an affiliate for them.
I never had any issues using this software. Plus, I truly do enjoy simplicity, and not having to worry about paying a bunch of money for multiple separate subscriptions.
But no one size fits all and it all comes down to personal preference. Only you can decide what tools work best for you and your business.
At the end of the day, success derives from you, not the software, but having simplicity in your business can help A LOT.
