Hi! I'm Kathia. I'm the founder of 'The Honest Affiliate'.🙂

In 2018, it became clear to me that I didn't want to participate in the cycle of working my ass off all day, to make enough money to feed myself, to have the energy to repeat the same routine the next day and the day after that and so on. I wanted more memorable experiences out of this life and not another job where my life would only begin after I could retire at the age of 65, ATLEAST.. I wanted more TIME, MONEY and ENERGY to travel, eat the foods I want from different cultures, and spend more time with my family while I'm still young, without worrying about going back to a job for money. I want to LIVE my life and not just work to survive. So I dropped out of college.

When I discovered the advantage of leveraging the internet to make money online, it was a no brainer for me! If I could live MY life, on MY terms, and do what I want, when I want, with who I want and work from wherever I want, that's the dream life for me!

I researched ways to start working in that direction and came across FOREX first. Becoming a day trader sounded pretty awesome to me, but after getting a little taste of it, I realized that the markets' fluctuations are unpredictable and carry a high level of risk. I wanted a long term career that I could have a bit more control over, so this was a no no for me.

Then I came across affiliate marketing and was instantly intrigued by it. I didn't have to create any products to sell to start making money, no customer service, no buying or holding any inventory, no shipping involved, no dealing with refunds or headaches, etc.. other than creating content (because I'm an introvert) everything else sounded great!

In 2020, I took a course to learn the fundamentals.. In 2022 I started taking some INCONSISTENT action. Yes it took me 2 years to make a move, but what can I say? I was scared, doubtful, and well.. I NEVER felt ready.. this was new to me after all, so I had to force myself to get out of my comfort zone and that took me a while.🙄

Even as an introverted newbie though, I managed to make about $4k online up to this point! My very first commission was only $2.50, but I was over the moon!! I never imagined I'd receive an email at 3 in the morning letting me know that I just made some money online.

Through the years though, I've witnessed many people join the affiliate marketing space (in the make money online niche) much later than I did and made millions in less than a year.. My confidence took a hit and I became a little envious too.. like, how the heck are these bigger noobs than me making millions when it took me over a year to make $4k?! I reeeally started to doubt myself and question whether this path was even for me. Should I quit? Because of this, I was on and off with my journey.

This is why I founded The Honest Affiliate..

These new affiliates became so "successful" in such a short amount of time because of their misleading marketing. They lied to gullible and naïve people making them believe that doing affiliate marketing would make them rich quick with little to no work or effort, and would allow them to quit their jobs in no time. They were selling a dream life that they obviously couldn't fulfill.

Lots of them also used clickbait content on Tiktok and Instagram where they'd give misinformation on a completely different "side hustle" such as, "make $300 an hour for typing," then at the end of their short video, they would guide them over to a course that had nothing to do with the "information" they had just provided. So every time these people bought the courses through these affiliates, they'd make a chunk of money.

The sad part is that these methods worked insanely well to make a 💩 ton of money quick! So more people jumped in and created the same type of misleading and worthless content. They didn't care about taking people's hard earned money, they only cared about taking more. 

Affiliate marketing isn't some MLM, pyramid scheme or scam. It's about helping someone make the right purchasing decision by giving them our HONEST opinion on the products we promote. It's about providing a solution to a real problem and connecting people to that product that offers the solution. It has everything to do with trust.. Nothing to do with coming up with the biggest lie possible to make some cash.

So while it's still my goal to attain my freedom in this life, it's important for me to do it ethically by sharing TRUE insight on this business model, and helping you avoid falling into the same hole as these other people.

You see, I've taken several online courses with great education to make money online (some better than others) and I've also experimented with several software (free and paid). So it's my mission to share my knowledge with those who want to reach the same lifestyle as me through affiliate marketing, but with a clear and REALISTIC picture on what to expect. You'll find HONEST course & product reviews, and tutorials on what worked for me, so that you know EXACTLY what you're getting into before spending any money on education and tools blindly.
